Today we introduce automated spring sorting, a core capability of NANO’s standard inspection systems.
Our standard sorting machines support a wide range of spring types, including coil springs, wire springs, and leaf springs. Because coil springs tend to become tangled during feeding, our system incorporates a dedicated separator unit that untangles workpieces before they enter the sorting process.
Workpieces are fed onto a grooved glass table, where the machine measures dimensions simultaneously from above, below, and the side. This multi-directional measurement enables reliable detection and rejection of defects including fractures, deformation, foreign-part contamination, and dimensional non-conformance.
Because springs are inherently elastic, manual measurement with calipers or similar tools frequently produces inconsistent results depending on the operator. NANO’s 100% automated 100% inspection eliminates operator-to-operator variation and delivers stable, repeatable quality control.
