✨Eddy Current Inspection Goes Automatic — Enabling 100% Inspection with Automated Sorting ✨
In a previous newsletter, we introduced FTS-eddy1, an Eddy Current inspection system designed for bolts, capable of detecting material mix-ups and heat treatment abnormalities for 100% inspection.
At that time, we also shared our concept for an automated loading mechanism. We are pleased to announce that this concept has now become a fully developed system.
This time, we would like to introduce our new Auto Sorter System, combining FTS-eddy1 with a Parts Feeder to automate both workpiece loading and OK/NG sorting.

■ From Manual Loading to Full Automation
With the conventional system, operators had to manually load bolts into the inspection machine.
Although the inspection accuracy was high, the process still required an operator to continuously manage the loading operation. This created several challenges:
- Variation in loading speed depending on the operator
- Increased operator workload during continuous operation
- The need for operators to remain at the machine for extended periods
To address these challenges, the newly developed system incorporates a Parts Feeder to automatically supply bolts to the inspection process.
The bolts are automatically aligned and fed into the inspection system, enabling stable and continuous operation.
The system also automatically inspects and separates OK and NG parts, significantly reducing operator workload while maintaining consistent inspection quality.
■ From an Inspection Machine to a 100% Quality Assurance System
With automated loading and sorting, the system has evolved beyond a conventional inspection machine into a 100% inspection and quality assurance system designed for use in high-volume production environments.
By combining FTS-eddy1 with the Auto Sorter, manufacturers can establish a more efficient quality control process covering the entire operation—from automatic loading and inspection to OK/NG sorting.
