In this week’s newsletter we introduce high-speed sorting of turned parts.
Precision cutting parts that require high accuracy and strict tolerances.
Even if there are no issues during sample production,
problems often arise once the process moves to mass production.
As a result, it is not uncommon to increase the number of workers
and perform manual full inspection for every piece.
However, handling precision parts is challenging, and manual measurement is often difficult,
leading to low output and operational challenges for many companies.
Therefore, we would like to introduce a case where high-speed sorting was implemented to solve the quality issues of cutting parts.
<Target Workpiece>
BUSH Part (OD10.56 × ID7.56 × L3.0mm)
<Challenge >
The flange thickness is 0.6mm (±0.1mm), which has a relatively wide tolerance,
but the R-corner shape makes manual micrometer measurement difficult, resulting in low throughput.
<Solution>
By implementing image-based sorting, the system can sort faster and more accurately than manual labor.
As a result, it significantly reduced costs, time, and workload, especially for the QC team.
If your company is struggling with manual inspection of cutting parts, please feel free to contact us!
Wishing you a wonderful week!
