✨Faster and More Accurate Parts Counting✨
This week, we would like to introduce the “VBP Model” Parts Counter.
Is incorrect counting becoming a burden in your packing process?
・Weight-based counting using a scale can be difficult when handling lightweight parts.
・While some production sites have a practice of “putting in a little extra,” some customers require the exact specified quantity.
・In the end, operators have to recount the parts manually, leaving the process inefficient.
This is where we recommend the “VBP Model” Parts Counter.
The VBP Model is suitable for production sites that need to count relatively large parts, 5 mm or larger, in quantities ranging from several hundred to several thousand pieces at a time.
It performs particularly well with products that have little tendency to clog or stick together and can flow smoothly and consistently on the feeder.
■ 2-Stage Feeder Balances “Speed” and “Accuracy”
The VBP Model detects parts coming from the feeder with a sensor and automatically counts them until the preset quantity is reached.
① The Large Feeder rapidly supplies approximately 90% of the target quantity.
② As the count approaches the preset quantity, the system switches to the Small Feeder to finely adjust the remaining quantity.
The key feature of the VBP Model is this two-stage feeding system, which achieves both “fast counting” and “accurate counting to the specified quantity.”
It can handle parts made from various materials, including metal, rubber, and resin.
Part registration is also simple. Settings can be configured while actually running the workpieces through the machine, reducing the burden of changing product types and making the system easy to incorporate into daily counting operations.
In addition, if the quantity exceeds the preset target, the reverse-type conveyor automatically discharges the excess parts to the opposite side, allowing the machine to be used with confidence.
With manual counting, the required working time and risk of errors can vary depending on the operator’s experience and concentration. Once an error occurs, it is also difficult to go back and verify the original counting process.
By replacing manual counting with automatic counting, the quantity verification process can be made more stable and consistent.
Recording and managing the counting results also makes it possible to utilize the data for inventory management and production management.
When a customer asks, “How many pieces were included in the shipment?” having the counting records available makes it easier to verify the quantity and provide an accurate response.
